Design Tips

If you wish to purchase our Mini Bottle Openers "uncustomized" please visit our sister site, BarAccessories.com. A variety of fun colorful designs are available.

As part of the two-sided Kolorcoat process, darker Kolorcoat items may have a faint or lightened edge. This does not affect the artwork on your products as it is only on the outer edges.
With bottle openers we strongly advise that your text stays at least .25 inches from the edges and holes. Some small discoloration can occur near the opener hole during the print process as the metal is indented to accommodate the function of bottle opening.
Kolorcoat™ or Screen Printing?
Kolorcoat™

Our Kolorcoat™ printing process offers you a full color imprint option. You can display multiple colored logos with drop shadows and shading as well as upload your own full color photographs to be imprinted right on the opener. With the Kolorcoat process there is no minimum to order and there are quantity discounts available. There are also no screen set up fees involved.

Screen Printing

Screen printed openers are ideal for when ordering in large quantities. There is a one-time screen set up fee, but larger quantity discounts available. Screen printed openers are available in one color ink only but look professional and elegant. Many large companies opt for the screen printed process.
Bottle Opener Design Tips
Screen Printing vs Full Color (Kolorcoat)

Screen Printing (1 color graphics)
  1. Resolution. Vector artwork works best. If your artwork is rasterized, high resolution (300 dpi) is ideal for crisp clear results. All of the artwork offered in our clipart gallery meets these requirements. However if you are uploading your own, this is important to keep in mind.
  2. Color Limit. Keep it one color. If you are uploading your own artwork, please keep in mind that with the screen printing process we will not print in more than 1 color or gradients. This means any images with shading or drop shadows will not be accepted.
  3. Fonts. Font choice is very important. If you choose to use text, please be cautious of the font you choose. Please make sure it is clear and well spread out.
  4. Design. When choosing your design, please keep in mind that bold designs stand out best. If you get involved in a lot of small detail with your design, you may lose some definition and ultimately be unhappy with the outcome.
  5. Color Choice. Black ink will always stand out best on a white opener, but certainly not on a dark blue opener. Please keep this in mind when choosing your ink color. Try to keep your ink color choice complimentary to your opener choice.

  6. Stuck? Can't find a suitable version or size of your artwork?
Contact us, we have a whole team of graphic designers that can help. Charges may apply.
Full Color (photographic Kolorcoat)
  1. Resolution. Clean, hi-resolution artwork and photographs look best. If you have a low resolution file/image, the outcome may look pixelated and sloppy. Please keep this in mind when uploading your artwork. The larger the image, the better it will print out.
Tip: Uploading a photo much larger than the opener and scaling it down to the desired size in the Online Designer is much more effective than using a photo that "already" looks like the right size on your screen. Monitors require much less resolution than the printing process.
  2. Safety Margins. Please try to keep designs at least 1/8 inch away from the edge. In the production process, the opener may shift slightly. Keeping it a safe distance from the edge could prevent art from getting cut off.
  3. Color. Bright vibrant colors with good contrasting artwork will always stand out and look great! Try to stay away from dark greys on a black background if you are looking to have a design that stands out. Things that may look "ok" on a computer screen may not transfer over in print as well.
Tip: Imagine how well your opener will look from ten feet away.

Bottle Opener Information

What is Kolorcoat Printing?

Kolorcoat is a process of sublimation that is owned and patent pending by BarProducts.com, the parent company of LogoBarProducts. This process allows us to print in full color with any combination of colors and images.
Learn more here.

Can I use photographs on a Kolorcoat opener?

Yes, you may! As long as the image is high enough resolution to print (300dpi at full size), it will look acceptable on an order.
Learn more here.

Are there pre-made designs or backgrounds to choose from?

Yes. We are adding new designs every week. These designs include basic background colors, patterns and common imagery including sports images, tattoo art, tye-dye and more. We currently offer more than 100 backgrounds to choose from, or you may start with a basic color and build your own. You may also upload your own background artwork and design anything you can imagine.

Do I have to have the same design on both sides of the opener?

No, you don't. You can print the same design on both sides, a different design on either or even leave on side blank. We leave the creativity of your design up to you.

Are there any art charges or design charges for making an opener with the online designer?

Other than the price of the openers themselves, there are no additional setup or art charges when you choose a Kolorcoat™ option. If we have to do major art changes, which is rare for openers, we will contact you to make recommendations.
