Production Time and Requirements

Production Time is the time it takes our designers and printers to move your design from our design to our art programs, make corrections and fittings and produce the item. Our minimum production time is 9 to 12 BUSINESS DAYS. This DOES NOT include holidays or weekends. During our busy months (wedding season, major holidays), we are often running the full 12 Business Days for production. This does not include shipping time and is production time only. It is our company policy NOT to guarantee delivery on any orders with less than 10 business days notice. Rush production and rush shipping may be available at the discretion of LogoBarProducts.com's production schedule. Please call to inquire if RUSH is available if you need them sooner. 727-584-2093.

Average production time depends on the product produced and the intricacy of the design. Here's some example situations that might affect production time.

Ideal Situation: Artwork is given to us in a vector format, properly spaced with a font that prints well. The artwork isn't so intricate that we'd have to make any adjustments. On the first day, we send the artwork to the screen printing process. On the second day, we produce the screen needed to transfer the image to the product.. On days 3 or 4, the printing process can begin. Assuming all goes well with the printing, day 6 is needed for the products to dry and the imprint time to cure. On day 7, the glasses are ready to ship. This is assuming that the process is flawless, which rarely happens.

Artwork Problems: If artwork given to us needs to be fixed or recreated, the production time can go up significantly. Artwork that is not vectorized, has many intricate parts, is a photo or has halftones, is oversized or outside of the printing area or otherwise incorrect can add 3 to 10 business days to the total length of the project.

Custom Colors: While we do our best to match custom colors when needed, this may add 2-3 days of production time.

Unusual Size/Shape Prints: While we provide the printable area square to avoid this issue, there are times when special artwork may be allowed to go beyond the standard printable area. Due to repositioning of screens and issues with placement, this circumstance may add 2-3 days of production time.

Large Shipments: While we're perfectly equipped to handle many orders of any realistic volume, larger orders to do take more time. Orders up to 144 pieces are easily completed within the 9 to 12 day production schedule. Orders over 144 may be possible within this timetable, though current order volume, inventory levels and rush orders may push our standard production time back on larger shipments.

Shipping Time and Requirements

All of our LogoBarProducts custom printed orders ship from our production facility in Largo, Florida. We are located in the Tampa Bay Area and use UPS for our primary shipping method. The Ground Shipping map is shown below.

Ground Shipping Times Only: Please note that these transit times are in addition to production times. For instance, an order going to California from Florida would take approximately 2 weeks to produce and another week (or more) to be shipped to you.

Shipping Insurance: Shipping insurance is not required, but is recommended. While we do our best to ensure that all packages are secured and well packed, there is no guarantee that glassware won't be dropped or mishandled during shipping. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase shipping insurance at approximately 10% of the shipping cost. This will cover unintentional damage done by the shipper during transit.

Expedited Shipping: Glassware is heavy, and thus can be expensive to ship. While we recommend our ground shipping to be economical, we do offer expedited shipping via UPS next day, UPS 2nd day or UPS 3rd Day. These quoted ship dates are for shipping days only, not production days, and must be ready to ship before 3PM to be considered for expedited shipping.

Shipping Estimates: All shipping costs calculated by the website are rough estimates. Due to the bulk and weight (especially of glassware), we may require you to pay a shipping upcharge. Furthermore, changing fuel charges and other expenses may apply to certain packages going to certain places. If we require more shipping that you were charged, the order will be held until we can confirm the additional funds with you. It is very important to leave a good email address and phone number for all orders.

International Shipping: Our online designer currently only allows us to ship to the United States and Canada. That said, we will gladly ship any where in the world. Please call us or email us at support@logobarproducts.com to place your order and receive a comprehensive shipping quote to determine your proper method of delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions about Custom Printed Glassware

What is silkscreening and why must it be done in one color?

Silkscreening is a process that involves transferring a solid image to a permiable substrate (called a screen, or silk screen) and using this to apply ink onto a surface. Glassware is done as silkscreen to produce a crisp and clear image that will last a long time without the high cost of dye sublimation or similar processes. To keep the costs down, we print all of our silkscreened items as single color images. Halftones, dithering and photographs will not product properly using a silkscreen. Bold designs work best, but our fine mesh screens will allow intricate detail as long as line art is produced.

Why do you have minimum quantities and what are they?

We have minimum quantities to keep our products cost effective for you. To buy a single or just a few shotglasses would be very cost prohibitive, as the price of the artwork, screen charge and production costs would be very high. Spread out over many pieces, the price is absorbed into the whole order. This keeps your price per unit low. We do understand that many people don't need hundreds of pieces of glassware imprinted, so we have minimums as low as 36 pieces on many of our products.

Why should I order in multiples of 36 pieces?

It's important that you order in quantities of 36 glasses. Our glasses are packed in shipping carts specifically made to hold glasses in multiples of 36 such as 36 pieces, 72 pieces, 108 pieces, 144 pieces, etc. By shipping an odd number of glasses, breakage is much more likely to occur. If you need slightly less than a multiple of 36, we recommend you buy a few extra as spares. The cost per piece on the glassware is low enough that having a few extra pieces is worth the peace of mind, especially on occasions where time and accurate quantities is a factor. Best practice would be to order about 10% more than needed in case of any circumstances that arise such as any accidently damage during shipping, additional guests, etc.

Who would want custom printed shot glasses or other barware?

We've found that customized shot glasses and other glassware to be a great keepsake or gift idea for a number of special occasions including:

  • Wedding favors
  • Bridemaid gifts
  • Groomsmen Gifts
  • Birthdays
  • Bachelor Parties
  • Bachelorette Parties
  • Baby showers
  • Graduations & School related events
  • Fundraising Promotions
  • Groups & Clubs
  • Band Merchandise
  • Event Promotions
  • Retirement Parties
  • Family Reunions
  • Company retreats or celebrations
  • Gift Bags and baskets

The glassware purchased for these occasions holds a value for the recipient that will remind them of the event for many years. As there are already thousands of shotglass collectors out there, you will definitley brighten someone's day by having a personal glass to add to their collection. Even if they don't collect glasses, most anyone will find this keepseek a place in their home and their hearts. When they look at the glass, they'll be reminded of all the fun they had at your event!

What's included in the setup charge and why do you charge it?

The setup charge is typically $45 per screen (some prices may vary) and this price includes the production of a silkscreen and up to 15 minutes of artwork adjustments from the designer. This is considered a very low cost in the promotional products industry, as the screen production cost alone is often over $45 with other companies in the industry. We produce a large volume of screens and pass the savings onto you, the consumer.

What is an art charge and how much is it?

If you submit artwork in a camera ready format, meaning it's in a vector format or a high resolution raster that can be made production ready inside of 15 minutes, there will be no additional art charges to complete your order. If artwork needs to be corrected, spaced, re-arranged, adjusted, simplified or otherwise changed, an art charge of $60/hour, charged in 15 minute increments, will be applied. Our designers will work with you to keep these charges to a minimum and we will contact you about the charge before the work is done.

Is there anything you won't print on our glassware?

While we're an open minded company that appreciates even the darkest senses of humor, we refuse to print anything that is hateful, racist, abusive, illegal or derogatory. Foul or "blue" language is permitted, as long as it's in the context of humor. While we appreciate your rights to free speech, we will not be an accessory to hate or abuse.

Can I see a proof of my design before it goes to print?

You can see a proof. Please call 727-584-2093 or email support@logobarproducts.com within 12 hours of placing your order to request a digital proof.

Can you print brand names, logos or other items that are copywritten or restricted?

We can print most anything you bring to us. While we can not provide these logos for you, we will not restrict your use of them. Any thing you put on a design that may inflict on a copyright is between you and the copyright holder. This holds us irresponsible for trademark and copyright violations, as we are simply a medium for producing intellectual property, not the holders thereof or the endorsers thereof.

Is your glassware high quality like many of the other brand names out there?

Yes. Our glassware is quality checked as it is washed and printed to meet our strict quality standards. While glassware is a man-made creation and thus may continue imperfections, we have quality control limitations on the amount and size of imperfections that may be in a glass. Imperfections may include slight waving, slight ovaling, minor issues with print or ink quality or minor bubbling. These issues, while rare, are considered to be part of the normal manufacturing process. Glasses with chips, cracks, major mishaping or major ink or imprint issues are rejected and reprinted during our inspection process. If you find you have received a flawed piece of glassware that is beyond the reasonable expectation we hold in our quality standards, we will credit you for the price of that glass at our discretion.

For custom ink colors, please contact a representative at 727-584-2093.

Shot Glass Design Tips and Advice

Based on our years of experience in working with designs for shot glasses and other printed bartending supplies, we have determine some best practices that will help you design your own shot glass. Below are examples of a good shot glass design and a bad shot glass design. First we will go over a bad shot glass design, and then demonstrate how to correct and improve on the shot glass design. In our example, we went with a worst case scenario where the names of the couple are long. In many of the custom wedding favor shot glass orders we receive, we'll see placement of the names that can be improved, thus making the shot glass easier to read and more enjoyable for your guests.

Bad Shot Glass Design

This is an example of a bad shot glass design. There are many things about this design that could be greatly improved.

  • Multi Colored - Shot glasses need to be a single color ink. The only exception for a second color is in case the clipart or the uploaded graphic contains white, which will not be printed.. Since this design contains red and black it will need to be modified to either be all black or all red to be printed.
  • Text is Too Cramped - The shot glass as it appears on the screen is very close to the actual size. If the text is hard to read on the screen it will most likely be hard to read once printed. Also, if you can't make out any white space between characters, this will also make the text more difficult to read.
  • Small Graphic - Similiar to the advice on the size of text, if the graphic is hard to see on the screen it will most likely be difficult to see on the printed product.
  • Design Goes Outside the Lines - Some of this design is going outside of the allowed print space. If this design were to be printed as seen on the screen the M and the A in the couple's names could be cut off.
Bad Shot Glass Design

Good Shot Glass Design

This is an example of a good shot glass design. In this design we have taken the same basic information from the bad shot glass design and made corrections and improvements to allow for a cleaner and clearer product that will be enjoyed for years to come.

  • Single Colored - The design has been adjust to only contain black ink. Black is usually a good color to go with on a product like a shot glass since it is the most bold, and can be read in many lighting circumstances.
  • Text is Spaced - Text should be as large as possible. Since adding additional space and size to the names text wasn't possible, we put the text on more than one line. This greatly improved the readability of the design.
  • Larger Graphic - The size of the graphic being used has been increased to a size that makes it much more visible once printed.
  • Design is Within the Lines - The design fits inside of the allowable print area, so the entire graphic will now be printed as seen on the screen.

While the fonts and clipart being used in this design are personal preference, you may use most any art and font you'd like. If you follow the good principles of design, most fonts and artwork can be used to create a dynamic, fun and cherished final shot glass.

Glassware Care & Handling

Once your glassware arrives, proper care will ensure that your glasses remain problem free for years to come. Proper glassware care and handling includes:

  • Always hand wash. Glassware is not safe to wash in a dish washing machine, even on the top rack. The imprint, while strong and long lasting, will come off in intense cleaning cycles that a dish washer can produce. HAND WASH ONLY.
  • Be extremely careful when unpacking your glassware. It's important that you remove the inner pack cartons one at a time and remove the glasses careful. Glass can chip if handled aggressively or if it makes contact with other glassware or hard surfaces.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures. Glass left in extra heat (over 100 degress) or extreme cold (below 30 degrees) for prolonged periods of time can produce stress cracks. Ideally, storing your glassware in a cool dry place will ensure it's imprint and material will remain intact.
